Born in Ôtawara City Tochigi Prefecture Japan.

Graduated with a B.A. from Komazawa University Tokyo.

Completed his M.A. in Buddhist Studies at Komazawa University.

Trained at the headquarter temple of the Sôtô Zen school,Temple.

大本山総持寺特別僧堂に安居

1965

Accepted as an “Upasampada” at Wat Paknam in Thailand.

タイ・ワットパクナムで修行

Constructed the Shakyamuni Hall in Yokohama.

「釈迦殿」を建立

1985

Established the “Yokohama Zenkôji Scholarship Foundation for International Buddhist Study”.

善光寺留学僧育英会を設立

1998

Awarded the “international prize” by the Sarananda Foundation in Sri Lanka.

Gave a lecture at a symposium organized by the Zen-vereingung Deutschland, Zen Gemeinschaft Jikishin-Kai and the Daijizan Fumonji Zen-Zentrum Eisenbuch in Germany.  Also visited Niederaltaich Monastery and participated in its service before engaging in an interfaith dialogue with the monastery’s abbot.

日本スリランカ国交樹立50周年記念 友好親善使節団団長としてスリランカを訪問した際（スリランカ教育文化大臣よりの招聘による）世界平和祈願コロンボ大会に出席し基調講演を行う。演題「ダルマパーラの贈り物」
